The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak had a meeting in Madrid with Navia Daniel Simon, the Secretary of State, Department of Energy, Tourism and digital technologies of Spain.
A key topic of discussion was the work of the Intergovernmental Russian-Spanish Commission on Economic and Industrial Cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, in particular in the field of exploration and production of oil and gas, energy supply, hydropower and renewables.
Alexander Novak took part in the meeting of the chairmen of the Russian-Spanish and Spanish-Russian Business Council.
"I am convinced that the work of the Council will contribute to a significant expansion and development of Russian-Spanish business contacts, as well as promoting the interests of Russian business in the Spanish market and attraction of investments in the Russian economy", - said the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

Rosatom together with the Dutch Lagerwey will manufacture wind power plants in Russia.
The annual wind power market is estimated by Rosatom Corporation as 200 billion rubles. per year by 2024.Controlled by "Rosatom" Combined Heat and Power Company has entered into a partnership with the Dutch manufacturer of wind turbines Lagerwey. The goal of the partnership is the development of the of wind turbines production in Russia. The partnership shall provide the transfer of "up-to-date critical technologies" required for the construction of wind power plants in Russia, in accordance with the government requirements envisaged 65% of wind turbines production localization.
Investment in the project will amount 84 billion rubles. The project involves three wind farms in the south of Russia. Until the end of 2017 and "Rosatom" and Lagerway will create a joint venture, with 50% of shares each.
